MINISTRY OF SHIPPING, ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS (DEPARTMENT OF ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS) ESTABLISHMENT­I SECTION Transport Bhavan, Parliament Street, New Delhi No. A.11015/1/2008­E.I  Sub : Filling up of one post of Assistant Library & Information Officer (AL&IO) in the Ministry of  Road Transport & Highways on deputation basis. One   post   of  Assistant  Library  &  Information   Officer   (AL&IO)  is  required  to  be  filled  up  in  the  Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, Department of Road Transport & Highways on  deputation basis urgently. The post belongs to the General Central Service (Group ‘B’ Gazetted,  Non­Ministerial) in the pay scale of Rs. 6500­10500 (PB­2 Rs. 9300­34800+4200). 2. Applicants should satisfy the following eligibility conditions : Officers of the Central Government: (a) i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or ii) with three  years’ ;service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pre­ revised scale of pay of Rs. 5500­9000 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; or iii) with six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the  pre­revised scale of pay of Rs. 5000­8000 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and (b) Possessing the following Educational Qualifications and Experience:­ i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent; ii) Degree or equivalent Diploma in Library Science from a recognized University or equivalent. iii) Two years professional experience in Library of Standing or Diploma in Computer Applications  from a recognized University or equivalent. 3. Applications routed through proper channel only will be considered. The period of deputation  including   the   period   of   deputation   in   another   ex­cadre   post   held   immediately   preceding   this  appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall  ordinarily not exceed 3 years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not  exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications. 4. Officers who volunteer for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their names later. Only such  applications   as   are   accompanied   by   the   requisite   personal   data   as   in   the   Annexure   and   the  following documents will be considered:­ i) Upto date photostat copies of ACR dossiers, attested by an officer not below the rank of  Under Secretary. ii) Vigilance Clearance. 5.   As   the   requirement   is   urgent,   it   is   requested   that   application   in   the   proforma   enclosed   in  respect of eligible officers who are willing and can be spared immediately may be forwarded so as  to reach this Ministry within two months of publication of this Advt. in the Employment News.  Incomplete applications and applications received after the prescribed period shall be summarily  rejected.
