2) Eligibility: In order to be eligible for engagement, a candidate must satisfy the following conditions : (a) He/She must be a Citizen of India, (b) (i) Must have passed the High School Certificate or an equivalent or any higher examination with Oriya as a language subject or (ii) Must have Oriya as a medium of examinations in nonlanguage subjects at the H.S.C or equivalent examination, (c) He/ She shall be above 21 years of age and not more than 42 years of age as on the 1st November 2009. However in case of SC/ST, Women and Ex-servicemen candidates the upper age limit shall be relaxed by three years, in case of PH candidates the upper age limit shall be relaxed by 10 years. Age limit may not be applicable" at the time of renewal of contract, (d) As regards eligibility of candidates for engagement of contractual teachers, he/she must have obtained Bachelor's degree in Arts, Science along with a degree of Bachelor of Education from a recognized University for being considered as Trained Graduate Teacher. In case of Intermediate C.T, a candidate must have passed +2 and C.T from the recognized Board. Incase of Trained Matric the candidate must have passed +2 with C.T. from the recognized Board. Incase of Hindi Teacher a candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree from a recognized University with Hindi as one of the elective subject or with Rastravasha Ratna from Rastravasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha or with Shastri from Orissa Rastra Bhasa Parishad,Puri or with Snataka (Acquired by June 2005 the date upto which temporary recognition had been granted) from Hindi Siskhya Samiti Orissa Cuttack or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution and Hindi Siskhyan Parangata from Kendriya Hindi Sanstan, Agra/Hindi Teachers training certificate course from Hindi Training Institutions, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar & Sambalpur. Incase of Classical Teacher, (Sanskrit) a candidate must have Acharya degree from the Orissa Association of Sanskrit learning and Culture or an Acharya degree or Sashtri (new) degree from Sri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri or such other equivalent degree from a recognized Institution or a Bachelor's degree with Sanskrit as one of the optional subjects from a recognized University. The Qualification for selection of Classical teacher (Sanskrit) shall be determined taking into account the pay scale and Qualification attached to the regular post available in the respective Schools as to be decided by the Inspector of schools/ District selection committee. Incase of Urdu teacher, a candidate must have an Alim degree from the Board of Madrasa Examination, Orissa or Bachelor's degree with Persian as one of the optional subjects from a recognized University. Candidates for PET Posts should have minimum Matriculation with CPED qualification. The person having both Degree and Post Graduate Degree in Professional qualification can also apply for the post of PET, but for the purpose of computing their career marking the minimum

academic qualification are to be taken into account along with the Marks obtained both either in Diploma, Degree and Post Graduate professional qualification in physical education but not higher academic qualification (e)The B.Ed, candidates should have registered their names in the employment Bureau located at Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar/ Jyoti Vihar, Sambalpur/ Bhanja Vihar, Berhampur/ OUAT, Bhubaneswar / State employment exchange at Bhubaneswar. (I) The candidates for T.I/ T.M /Classical Tr./ Hindi / PET/ Urdu teachers should have registered their names in the employment exchange located in the concerned Revenue District which he belongs to/ State Employment Exchange, (f) SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates registered in the special employment exchange for SC/ ST and Physically Handicapped at Bhubaneswar, SC/ST and Physically Handicapped B.Ed. Candidates should have registered their names in Employment Bureau located at Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar/ Jyoti Vihar, Sambalpur/ Bhanja Vihar, Berhampur/ OUAT, Bhubaneswar / State Employment Exchange, Bhubaneswar. (g) Higher qualification will not be given any weightage during preparation of the merit list in all categories of contractual teachers. 3) Reservation: The provision of the Orissa Reservation & Vacancies in posts and services Act, 1975 and other Reservation, as prescribed by Government from time to time shall be followed. Up to 33.1/3% of total posts of each category shall be reserved for women candidates. Reservation for physically handicapped persons should be made as per provision prescribed by Government from time to time. 4) Emoluments: The Trained Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science) shall be paid @ Rs.9300/- (Rupees Nine thousand three hundred) and other Non-TG teachers like; T.I./TM/PET @ Rs.5200/-(Rupees five thousand two hundred), Hindi teachers Rs.9300/- (Rupees Nine thousand three hundred) Sanskrit, Urdu & Telgu contract Teachers shall be allowed minimum pay scale admissible to their regular posts and as revised from time to time as monthly consolidated remuneration. The contract will be valid up to the end of February from the date of engagement and can be terminated without assigning any reason thereof. Fresh contract can be made on fresh application for a period of another year. While making fresh contract sincerity, integrity, conduct and performance of the contract teacher will be reviewed by the concerned Inspector of Schools. The concerned Headmaster shall maintain detailed records on performance of the contractual teacher concerned. 5) Selection: (i) The candidates shall submit Residential Certificate as proof of residence in the Revenue District to which they belong. A candidate may make an application for any Education Circle irrespective of his home Education Circle subject to condition that he shall apply in respect of any one Education

Circle only. The candidate shall have to furnish an affidavit to the effect that he/she has not made application for engagement of Contract Teacher in any Educational Circle other than the Education Circle applied for in his/her application. If on verification it is found that the candidate has applied in more than one educational circle for engagement of contract teacher his/her application shall be summarily rejected without assigning any reason. Each applicant will deposit Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty) only in the shape of Indian Postal Order to be drawn in favour of respective Inspector of Schools, while making the application towards processing fee. (ii) The concerned Inspector of Schools will scrutinize the applications with reference to the eligibility criteria and place it before the designated committee for preparation of a merit list, (iii) Committee for selection shall be constituted under the Chairmanship of Collector as per sub-para-3 of Para-6 of G.O. No. 10562/SME dt. 21/05/ 05. (iv) A merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the percentage of the marks secured in Matriculation (without 4th optional), BA/B.Sc. and B.Ed. Examination incase of TG (Arts and Science) Teachers and incase of TI/TM/Classical/ PET/Urdu/Hindi teachers, percentage of marks secured by a candidate in each qualifying examination starting from HSC Examination. Incase two or more candidates secure the same marks, the candidates older in age will be placed above in the merit list, (v) A merit list with twice the number of vacancies shall be drawn in accordance with Para 6(4) of the G.O. mentioned above for each category of the posts, (vi) The concerned Inspector of Schools after approval of Collector shall engage candidates on contract basis from out of the merit list prepared under intimation to the Director, Secondary Education and the Government of Orissa in School & Mass Education Department, (vii) A contract/ agreement shall be executed between the Inspector of Schools on behalf of the State Government and the contract teacher on stamped paper, (viii) The model agreement to be signed between the Inspector of Schools and the contract teacher and the model engagement order will be as per annexure-IV & V of G.O. No.10562/SME, dtd.21.5.2005 (ix) Before accepting the contract engagement the concerned person shall furnish a written undertaking in the prescribed format. ) 6. (a) Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) (IHQ-MoD (Navy)) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account (b) SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled during Jan to Jun 2010 at Bangalore, Bhopal or Coimbatore. (c) The SSB interview is conducted over five days in two stages. Stage-I includes inteligence Test, Picture Perception test and Group discussion and is conducted on the first day. Stage-II includes Psychological Tests, Group Task and personal interview conducted over the balance four days. Candidates failing to qualify a particular stage would be sent back the same day. Successful candidates would then have to clear a special medical examination at the same venue (approx duration 3-5 days). (d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit will be appointed for training in order of all India Merit depending on the number of vacancies. (e) Change of SSB centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances. (f) Candidates who wish to change their SSB dates, must apply to the President of the SSB. (g) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained during the selection process. (h) Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for this entry would be eligible free rail sleeper class return fare. TRAINING 8. The training is scheduled to commence in July 2010 9. Candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, followed by professional training at various Naval Training Establishments/Units/Ships. Full pay and allowances are admissible to officers whilst under training. They will be on probation for a period of two years, during which they are liable to be discharged if their performance is unsatisfactory. 10. Only unmarried candidates are eligible to undergo training. Any candidate who is found to be married or marries while under training will be discharged. He shall be liable to refund full pay & allowances drawn by him and the expenditure incurred on him by the Government. DUTIES OF LOGISTICS OFFICER 11. As a Logistics Officer you will be dealing with the Logistics aspects of Men & Material for the Warships. In no other career does an Officer gets exposed to such a wide spectrum of opportunities to keep abreast of modern and latest development in the field of management & finance. THE NAVY OFFERS YOU 12. On successful completion of training you will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenant. The benefits of the life as an officer in the Navy are enumerated in succeeding paragraphs. 13. (c) A person with Low Vision means one with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment of standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assisting device. iii) Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI) : (a) Deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non-functional for ordinary purposes of life, i.e. with total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear and understand sounds at all - even with amplified speech.

(b) It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ Persons with Disabilities candidates in all Offices/Branches of the Bank and they will have to work in the post identified by the Bank as suitable for them. (c) The number of vacancies as also the number of reserved vacancies are provisional and may vary according to actual requirements of the Bank. (d) The Bank may at its discretion consider relaxation in the stipulated eligibility criteria in deserving cases. Use of a Scribe / Paper Writer : A SCRIBE, to write the written test / examination, on behalf of a Visually Challenged (VC) candidate [Blind] & Orthopedically Challenged (OC) candidate [whose writing speed is affected by Cerebral Palsy], may be used. In case it later transpires that the scribe did not fulfill any of the laid down eligibility criteria or had suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written examination. Candidate using a Scribe will be eligible for extra time @ 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. Such candidates should visit our Zonal / contact Office as given in para 6 and get the name of scribe authorized by them one week before the test. 3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP: A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) as above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Note :The minimum qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC / PWD candidates) and the Marks so obtained shall be added to the marks obtained in the Objective Test, for preparing merit list. The descriptive papers will be assessed only of those candidates who qualify in all the objective tests and also rank sufficiently high. Interview Marks : Maximum marks for interview will be 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview are 50% for General Category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category. Selection Procedure : Depending on the number of vacancies, only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Written Tests (Objective plus Descriptive) and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for a Personal interview in the ratio of 1:3. - Mere pass in the Written Tests shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for Personal Interview. Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct : 1. Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form. 2. At any stage of recruitment, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of : (i) using unfair means during the examination or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet/answer sheet from the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature during the selection process or (v) obtaining support for his/her candidature by any means. Such a candidate may in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, may also be liable : a. to be disqualified from the examination for which he/she is a candidate b. to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by Bank. c. for forfeiting the fees paid by such candidate. 3. The Bank would be analyzing and comparing the responses of a candidate with other candidates, who appeared for the examination to detect patterns of similarity. PRE-EXAMINATION TRAINING (PET) The Bank intends in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India, to impart free non-residential Pre-Examination Training (PET) of six working days to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes at Centres located at Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal, NOIDA (New Delhi), Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati and Ranchi. Selection for the PET from among the candidates will be made on the priority of the date of online registration of Application Form. Candidates belonging to the above categories and desirous of availing of such Pre-examination Training may indicate choice of PET Centre in the Application Form. All expenses for attending the Pre-Examination Training (PET) programme at the concerned Training Centre relating to travel, boarding, lodging, etc. will have to be made and borne by the candidate. Other conditions / stipulations i) Candidates selected for appointment in the Bank will be required to furnish a Security Deposit of Rs. 20,000/ -, Rs. 40,000/- and Rs. 60,000/- for Scale I, Scale II, Scale III and above respectively. The Security Deposit amount shall be forfeited if the officer leaves the bank before completion of 3 years service. CHIEF LIBRARIAN IN GRADE’D’ a) Job Requirements: The Chief Librarian will head the Library in the Bank, which is among the largest banking and finance library and information systems in India with a large collection of over one lakh documents “including books, back volumes of journals, special collections of working and discussion papers and a substantial collection of electronic resources. He will be responsible for the activities of the Library/e-library such as selection of books and electronic resources like online journals and databases, building up of reference services, abstracting, documentation, bibliographing, preparation of Library Manual, etc. He will be responsible for developing a state of art Digital Library Section. He should have the competence to keep the library uptodate in respect of both print and electronic resources and the application of Information and Communication Technology to the various managerial and technical tasks and library services. He will be fully responsible for the smooth functioning of the Library and also staff management. Further, he will also be responsible for establishing library cooperation and coordination among the various libraries of the Bank as well as the Libraries in other institutions/ abroad. b) Eligibility Criteria i) Educational Qualifications: (As on 0-1-11-2009) Essential: Master’s Degree in Economics/Commerce/Econometrics with a minimum of 55% marks and a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ institute of repute in India or abroad OR Master’s Degree in Library Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute of repute in India or abroad. Job Requirements: (i) Dealing with references on legal issues received from various departments of the Bank and its associate institutions, which are mainly related to the. interpretation of various statutes such as Reserve Bank of India Act 1934, Banking Regulation Act, 1949, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Companies Act, 1956, etc. (ii) Preparing initial drafts of legislation administered/to be administered by the Bank (iii) Preparation of drafts of pleadings and comprehensive instructions/briefs to counsel in connection with litigation involving the Bank and its associate institutions (iv) Appearing before Conciliation Officers, Labour courts, Tribunals, etc. on behalf of the Bank. B. Eligibility Criteria I) Educational Qualification (as on 01-11-2009): Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Law recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrolment as an Advocate with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent. Syllabus: (i) Standard of papers on Economics would be that of Master's Degree examination in Economics of any Central University in India, (ii) Syllabus for English: Essay, Precis writing, Comprehension, Business/ Office Correspondence. E. Examination and Interview : (i) Paper II and III of only such candidates, who score sufficiently high marks, as decided by the Board in order of merit in Paper I, would be assessed. B. Eligibility criteria i) Educational qualifications (as on 01-11-2009): i) Second Class Master's Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation, with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor's Degree level OR ii) Second Class Master's Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor's Degree level OR iii) Second Class Master's Degree in Sanskrit / Economics / Commerce with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor's Degree level. (In lieu of a subject of Hindi at Bachelor's Degree level, one may have recognized Hindi qualification equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree) OR iv) Master's Degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation, of which one must be Second Class. C) SCHEME OF SELECTION: Selection will be through Written Examination (WE) and interview. 'WE' will be held on Sunday, February 21,2010. The WE will be of 3 hours duration and carrying 100 marks to assess the candidate's ability to undertake translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa and their knowledge of terminology in Hindi vis-a-vis English with greater emphasis on technical terms pertaining to Banking, Economics, Commerce and allied subjects and ability to express themselves in Hindi and English. Those candidates who qualify in WE will be interviewed for final selection. 6. APPLICATION FEE (Non-Refundable) Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for each application. No fee is payable by SC/ST/PH candidates. Fee is payable by Demand Draft favouring Reserve Bank of India and payable at Mumbai only. However, candidates from unbanked areas may pay fee by crossed Indian Postal Orders in favour of Reserve Bank of India payable at GPO. Mumbai. (d) Candidates qualifying in the PET will be measured for their eligibility with respect to height and male candidate will also be subjected to measurement of chest (un-expanded) and chest (expanded) as specified above Candidates, who fail in any of the events of the PET or in physical measurement, either of height or chest, will be declared failed and shall be escorted out of the venue after putting an indelible ink mark on the index finger of the left hand. Their call letters shall be collected. B. WRITTEN TEST: (A) Only those candidates who qualify in the PET shall be called for written examination, venue of which will be intimated in due course. Candidates must bring the Call Letters at the time of written test which will indicate the date, time and venue for the same and will be given to them after completion of PET/ Measurement or may be sent to them by post depending on the situation, (b) Written test will be consist of 100 multiple choice objective type questions and shall be of 60 minutes duration. The question papers shall be of matriculation standard with maximum marks as 100 Four sets of question papers shall be prepared each having the same questions which shall be differently serial numbered. 20 questions each on General Intelligence, Arithmetic, Language and 40 on General Awareness will be given. Candidates will be required to answer all the questions. The test may be conducted using Optical Magnetic Reader (OMR) sheets and evaluation will be done-electronically. Candidates shall be awarded 01 (one) mark for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark will be deducted for 04 (four) incorrect answer. No mark shall be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted (c) question paper will be bi-lingual (English and Hindi). C. VIVA-VOCE AND DOCUMENTS. VERIFICATION: (a) The candidates called for viva-voce must produce all original documents in support of their education, age, SC/ST/OBC status where applicable (on the format prescribed in the advertisement), domicile and any other extra curricular activities (including NCC). No further extension for production of the original certificate shall be given. Failure to produce the document will lead to disqualification of the candidate (d) The purpose of the interview will be to determine the general intelligence, awareness, alertness and solidarity test and to assess their overall suitability for the RPF. The appearance of the candidates for interview is compulsory. Those who do not appear at the interview will not be considered in the final selection irrespective of their performance in the physical and written test (c) Bonus marks (Document verification): (i) There will be bonus marks to candidates who are having “B” or “C” certificate of NCC or who are having special qualification in sports like representing university, participating in Inter University Sports, representing State or Country in sports or winning medals in National level sports meet There will also be bonus marks for Male candidates whose height is 178 cms or above and Female candidates whose height is more than 165 cms (ii) Brake-up of maximum marks alloted for Viva-Voce and bonus marks prescribed for different items of additional qualification as referred to above will be intimated to the candidates at the time of Viva-Voce. 5. MEDICAL EXAMINATION: The empanelled candidates will be called for medical examination at the Railway Hospitals.The candidates will have to qualify in medical category “B-1”. The candidates wearing glasses or having flat feet, knock knee, squint eyes, colour blindness and other bodily defects are not eligible for appointment. 6. TRAINING: The selected candidates will have to undergo 09 months rigorous training in the event of selection. The trainees will be given stipend of Rs. 5200/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules during the period of Training. 7.
