Abnormal True Children of God (Scripture responses by Bill Stevenson) Matthew 18:3-4-- They are converted to Christ-likeness, having humbleness of faith like most children have, so that they don’t become spiritual prideful like the Pharisees. 1 Peter 1:2-5 & 7-9-- They are elected according to the foreknowledge of God the Father to be obedient in sanctification being guided by the Holy Spirit. They are begotten by God the Father according to His abundant mercy for them to have a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. They are divinely and Scripturally assured to being rewarded in Heaven, an inheritance which is incorruptible, undefiled, and never fading away. They are “kept by the power of God through faith for Salvation to be revealed in the last time”. Their genuine faith is divinely considered more precious than gold and can be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ (the Second Coming). They are having the Salvation, which is the saving of their soul and will be the end of my faith, which was inquired and sought by God’s Old Testament prophets and was/is desired to be investigated by the angels. 2 Timothy 1:9-10-- They are am saved and called by God with a holy calling, not according to works but according to God’s purpose and grace. They were part of God’s grace given in Christ Jesus before time began, and revealed by the His life on EarthGalatians 2:16-21-- They have been justified by faith in Christ Jesus Titus 2:14-- They were worth the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ They are special people of Jesus Christ and are zealous for good works. They are able to live by faith in Jesus Christ instead of living for selfish reasons Hebrews 12:2-3-- Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of their faith, and is the best role model or example for them. 1 Corinthians 2:16 & Philippians 2:5-8-- They can think like the humble and compassionate Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:7-11-- They are allowed to get to know Christ, which is the excellence of knowledge and is far better than my past successes or anything of the world. By their increasingly learning more about Christ, their consecration to Him will be obvious, not because of their own righteousness in obeying the Law, but because of the Holy Spirit-guided changes they make to be Christ-like. They can know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the understanding of His sufferings. They will attain the resurrection from the dead if they die before the Second Coming. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 & 9:8-- They are reconciled by God the Father to Himself through Jesus Christ They are given the ministry of reconciliation by God the Father They have forgiveness from God the Father for their wrongs. They have capability of being ambassadors for Christ as if God is pleading through them. They able to receive all of the grace from God so that they have all of their needs fulfilled They have an abundance for every good work God wants them to do.

Romans 5:17-- They have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness from God. They will always be able to reign in their life through Jesus Christ. They can always have proper confidence and they don’t have to feel like they are failures. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 & 3:1-- They are being beloved by Jesus Christ They are chosen by God for salvation for sanctification by the Holy Spirit and belief in the truth. They are called by the Gospel for the obtaining of the glory of Jesus Christ They are able to be part of the spread and glorification of the Word of God 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7-- They are being part of God’s will of human being sanctification able to abstain from sexual immorality as they learn how to keep my body in sanctification and honor, and not in passion and lust to avoid being defrauded They are called by God to holiness not uncleanness 1 John 2:5, 3:24, & 4:12-- God’s love is perfected in them when they obey His commandments. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17-- Their Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father comforts their heart and establishes them in every good word and work. (According to Ephesians 2:10, the latter is already prepared by God.) 2 Timothy 3:16-17-- They can become complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work, if they use the Bible for inspiration, profitable doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Hebrews 12:28-- They are able to increasingly receive and experience the Kingdom of God (involving righteousness, peace, and joy via the Holy Spirit-- Romans 14:17) which cannot be shaken They are able to ask for grace from God so that they can serve God acceptable with reverence and Godly fear 2 Corinthians 3:5 & Philippians 4:11-12 & 19-- Their sufficiency is from God; He will always provide for all of their needs. They can learn to always be content or satisfied in all situations. Hebrews 13:5-6-- They keep their conduct without covetousness and be content the things they possess already, because God said that He will never leave or forsake them. 2 Thessalonians 3:5-- Jesus Christ, via the Holy Spirit, can guide their hearts and minds into the love of God the Father and into the patience of Christ. Philippians 4:6-7-- When they communicate with God in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, they will receive the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding and guards my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Hebrews 13:20-21-- God the Father Who is the God of peace and Who brought up Jesus Christ from the dead will make them complete in every good work to do His will working in them what is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Philippians 2:13-- God works in them “both to will and to do for His good pleasure”.

Hebrews 12:7-11-- God loves them so much that He disciplines them when necessary for their sanctifications. His discipline is not joyful or painless, but it always yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Ephesians 3:16-20-- They are able to be strengthened with might internally (spiritually) by God the Father according to the riches of His glory and via the Holy Spirit so that Jesus Christ may dwell in their hearst through faith. They will be increasingly be rooted and grounded in unselfish agapè love from God. They might be able to comprehend with all the saints the fullness and extent of the love of Christ which passes knowledge. They may be filled with all the fullness of God. They are able to receive blessings from God that are “exceedingly abundantly above all” that they could even imagine. They can be a vessel and instrument of God’s power. 1 John 5:14-15-- They can ask anything according to God’s will. God hears them. They can know that they have the petitions that they have asked of Him. Philippians 4:13-- They have the talents and strength to do anything that Jesus Christ approves of (which is urged by the Holy Spirit). 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 & Philippians 1:6-- They can look forward to being sanctified completely by the faithful God of peace. Because of divinely helped sanctification, Their whole spirit, soul, and body can be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17-- They have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit They can avoid defiling their bodies and keeping them holy Romans 8:3-6-- Because of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the righteous requirement of the Law was fulfilled for them. They are able to live according to the Holy Spirit, being guided by Him whenever they want such. They can set their mind on the things of the Holy Spirit, the wisdom and promises of God the Father. They can live for good purposes and have peace (that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7) from God. Ephesians 2:18-22-- They are able to have access to God the Father via the Holy Spirit because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross. They are being citizens, saints, and members of the household of God, no longer strangers or foreigners. They are being established on the foundations of Jesus Christ, the Apostles, and the prophets. They are able to be unified with other Christians so that God the Father can be more evident via the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 2:5 & 9-- They are chosen by God the Father to be lively like Christ and precious, part of the church, and holy spiritual leaders to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

They are part of a chosen and special group that is God’s people, a royal priesthood who can proclaim the praises of Jesus Christ and deliverance from a sinful life the people of God who have obtained divine mercy. Romans 5:1 & 17-- They are able to have peace with God the Father. They are able to have abundance of grace from God. They are able to be righteous because of Jesus Christ reigning in them. Romans 8:28-39-- They are called or appointed for God’s purpose being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. They are justified and having the wonderful hope of being glorified by God. They are freely blessed by God the Father. They are represented and defended by Christ Jesus in relation to God the Father’s expectations of holiness God will not allow anything to separate them from the love of Christ Jesus. They will eventually being more than a conquerors over condemners, tribulation (affliction), distress or calamity, persecution, hunger (famine), destitution, peril, or sword Hebrews 10:19-22-- They are able to be boldly intimate with God the Father by living Christ-like. They are being consecrated by Jesus Christ Who is the compassionate High Priest for the Christian Church They are able come “near to God with true hearts in full assurance of faith” without an evil conscience. Ephesians 3:8-12-- They are chosen to be able to learn of the unsearchable riches of Christ and the wisdom of God They are chosen to have boldness and confidence in accessing God the Father through faith in Jesus Christ Exodus 33:11-34:8-- They are being able to get specific instructions and understanding, abound in goodness and truth receive grace, and mercy, and forgiveness from God the Father Colossians 1:9-12-- They can be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that they can live worthy of Jesus Christ, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful or successful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God At any time, they can be strengthened with God’s divine power for patience, longsuffering with joy. They are thankful to God the Father Who has qualifies them to be partakers of the inheritance in Heaven. Ephesians 1:17-21-- They can receive wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God the Father. They can understand better so that they can know what is the hope of God’s desires for the, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His resurrection power toward them and for them. 2 Peter 1:2-4-- Grace and peace are increased in them via their learning more about God the Father and Jesus Christ. They can receive the wisdom that pertains to life and Godliness by knowing Christ more.

They can be partakers of the divine nature, Christ-likeness by believing God’s great and precious promises. God helps them escape “the corruption that is in the world through lust”. 1 Corinthians 1:26-31-- They are able to realize what God has predestined for them to do. They can be more special to God than the secular or worldly wise, mighty (powerful), and noble individuals. They can have the capability to put to shame the worldly wise and to put to shame the mighty or powerful They can be in Christ Jesus by learning the wisdom from God He taught for righteousness, sanctification, and redemption They can say and do things for the glory of God the Father instead of self. John 6-- They have the opportunity and ability to partake of Christ Jesus via spiritual food and drink from the Holy Spirit and the Bible. 1 Peter 2:3-10-- They are able to taste that Jesus Christ is gracious and able to relate Him anytime. They are chosen by God the Father and made precious by Him. They are able to see Jesus Christ as precious and not being offended. They are able to keep God’s Word. They are part of a holy priesthood and able to offer up spiritual sacrifices which are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ having Scripture assurance of not being put to shame. They are part of a chosen royal priesthood and holy group of special people. They are able to proclaim the praises of Jesus Christ, Who called them to come out of sinful living to live in His marvelous truths. They are part of the people of God having obtained His mercy Matthew 11:25-30-- They can receive all about what is pleasing and displeasing to God the Father. Jesus Christ has willed revelation about God for them to learn. They can get rest in their souls and minds from Jesus whenever they labor and feel very stressed, just by joining with Him, (letting Him be involved with them in the labor and the stresses), and learning from Him because He is a gentle and humble teacher via the Holy Spirit. Whatever Jesus Christ asks them to do, will be easy and not stressful. Galatians 2:20b & 5:1, 22-23-- They are having Christ Jesus live in them via the Holy Spirit and increasingly knowing Him. They are able to stand firmly in the liberty (from sin) that Christ has given, never becoming entangled again with the bondage of sin. They are able to receive from the Holy Spirit. agapè (everlasting and unselfish) love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Romans 8:1-- They are able to have no condemnation. They are able to live being guided by the Holy Spirit instead of selfishness and lusts. Romans 6:2-6-- They can experiencing newness of life with resurrection power having freedom from being slaves of sin. Philippians 1:6-- They are being confident or assured that God will complete their sanctifications. Romans 6:12-23-- They are able to not let sin reign or have dominion in their minds and bodies and they are able to not be obedient to its lusts. They are able to present myself to God as being spiritually alive. They are able to present my body parts to God as instruments of righteousness.

They are able to do obedience to God’s Law, leading to righteousness (sanctification) for holiness and be set free from all sin. They are able to have fruit in the future complete holiness and everlasting life. They are able to receive God’s gift of eternal life instead of spiritual death Philippians 4:6-7-- They are able to have divine guarding of their hearts and minds by Christ Jesus Hebrews 12:1-11-- They are able to lay aside every hindrance and sin which easily ensnares (traps or tempts) them. They are able to live the challenging life of a Christian while their faith is being completed by Christ Jesus. Romans 12:1-2-- They are able to present to God the Father their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him. They have freedom from being conformed to this world They are able to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they can prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God the Father Ephesians 4:13-15-- They are able to be unified with other Christians in faith and the knowledge of Jesus Christ They are able to have times of Holy Spirit urged perfection in spiritual maturing in the stature measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ and the completeness found in Him. They are able of not being deceived by false, cunning, and crafty spiritual teachers and preachers. They are able to speak the truth in agapè (everlasting and unselfish) love. They are able to grow up (mature) into complete Christ-likeness. 1 Corinthians 15:58-- They are able to be steadfast and consecrated to God, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, guaranteed that their labor is not in vain Philippians 1:20-- They are able to be bold in magnifying Christ Jesus in their speaking and doing, and even in dying. 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 & 1 John 4:18-- Because they believe the Gospel, they don’t have to have any fear about death (physical or spiritual). 2 Timothy 1:7-- God has given them a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind, not a spirit of fear. Romans 5:3-5-- They are able to glory in tribulations (troubles, upsets, tragedies, betrayals) because they know that tribulation produces perseverance, which produces character, which produces hope, and that hope does not disappoint because the wonderful love of God has been poured out in their hearts by the indwelling Holy Spirit. Ephesians 6:10, 13, & 16-- They can “be strong in the Lord and the power of His might”. They are able to take up the spiritual armor so that they can “be able to withstand in the evil day” and stand for their faith in God in the spiritual warfare. 2 Thessalonians 3:3-- Jesus Christ is faithful in establishing them and guarding them from Satan. 2 Timothy 4:18 & 1 Corinthians 10:13-- Jesus Christ will deliver them from every evil work and preserve them for His Heavenly Kingdom. God is faithful and will not allow them to be tempted beyond what they are able, providing an escape if necessary.

James 1:2-5 & Matthew 5:11-16-- They can count it all joy when they are put into various trials knowing that the testing of their faith produces patience and that patience helps them to become perfect and complete lacking nothing. At anytime or in any situation they lack wisdom, they can ask God, Who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and they will receive the needed wisdom. Jesus said that when they are reviled, persecuted, and falsely criticized for His sake, they will be divinely blessed and can rejoice and be exceedingly glad, because great will be their rewards in Heaven. They can be a spiritual salt and light of the world by their good works and the just mentioned will glorify God the Father. 2 Corinthians 4:15-17-- They are able to be examples of God’s grace that can cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of Him. They are able to be of not giving up. They are able to be spiritually renewed everyday knowing that the daily afflictions are light (not overbearing) and are actually working for them. “a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 & Philippians 4:13 & 4-- God’s grace is sufficient for them. His strength is made perfect in their weaknesses. The power of God can rest upon and help them. They can even take pleasure for Christ even when they are sick, physically hindered, of needs, being persecuted, or in distress. They can rejoice in any situation. Hebrews 4:16-- Because of Jesus Christ and their faith in Him, they can boldly pray to God the Father, Who rules with grace, so that they can obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of their need. 1 Peter 5:7-- They can cast all of their care upon God because He cares for them. Hebrews 1:13-14-- God has created angels who are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5-- The God of mercies and all comfort comforts them in all of their tribulation. so that they can be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any trouble. 2 Corinthians 2:14-- God will always lead them in success (triumph over challenges) in Christ Jesus and through them His Word will be exemplified and taught. Ephesians 2:7-10-- They are able to be public examples of exceeding riches of God’s grace and kindness They are being God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for pre-planned good works. Colossians 1:10-14-- They are able to live worthy of Jesus Christ, fully pleasing Him. They are able to be fruitful or successful in every good work. They are able to be increasing in the knowledge of God. They are being strengthened with God’s divine power for patience, longsuffering with joy and thankfulness. They are having qualification for future partaking of Christian inheritance from God the Father. They are being delivered from the power of sin and Satan. They are being assured about the future transference into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Jude 24-- Jesus Christ, via the Holy Spirit and the Bible, is able to keep them from making mistakes in their lives of faith and is able to present them faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Colossians 3:4 & 24-- They are guaranteed to be part of the resurrection of the righteous (see 1 Corinthians 15:35-57) and in Heaven afterwards They are guaranteed to receive the reward of the inheritance of Jesus Christ because of serving Him 2 Peter 3:13-- They have the greatest hope of all according to one of God’s greatest promises to look forward to, new heavens and a new Earth in which righteousness dwells. Hebrews 6:17-20 & 12:22-24-- They have the wonderful hope based on God’s immutable and sure New Covenant as an anchor of their souls (divine assurance with divine peace). They are registered in Heaven (in the Book of Eternal Life (see Revelation 21:27c).
