ELIGIBILITY :

Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in any of the above-mentioned disciplines from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks throughout the academic carer (10th, 12th/ Diploma, Degree). SELECTION : The selection of the candidates will be through written test ( domain test/aptitude test), group discussion (GD) and personal interview (Pl). They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. c. Visually Impaired: The visually impaired persons are those suffering from blindness or low vision. Blindness – refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions. (i) total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses, (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse. Person with low vision – means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction, but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the written examination. The upper age limit for members of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes shall be 32 years and for other Backward Classes 30 years. There shall be no upper age limit for persons serving in this ‘Court or the Courts subordinate to this Court. Selection Process: l The selection process comprises Written Test and Personal Interview. l The selection process will consist of an Objective type Written Test to be held at Bangalore. The Question Booklet will be available in Hindi, English and Kannada. GRANT OF SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION IN ARMY DENTAL CORPS 1. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for grant of Short Service Commission in Army Dental Corps. 2. Total Number of Vacancies: 25 3. ELIGIBILITY (a) Candidates must be BDS (with minimum 55% marks in final year)/ MDS from a recognized College/University. (b) Should have completed one year rotatory Internship by 30 Sep 09 recognized by Dental Council of India at the time of submission of application. (c) Should be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificates valid at least upto 31 Dec 2009 at the time of interview. (d) Less than 45 years of age as on 31 Dec 2009. MDS degree holder will be eligible for PG allowance of Rs.1000/- p.m. or specialist pay after undergoing the laid down procedure. In addition, officers are entitled to 60 days annual leave & 20 days casual leave, LTC, free Medical facilities for self and family including dependent parents, Group Insurance of Rs. 30 lakhs & unit CSD facility etc as per the existing rules. 6. PROMOTION SSC officers are eligible for promotion upto the rank of Lt Col. Permanent Commissioned officers are eligible for time scale promotion upto the rank of LT Col/Col (TS) thereafter upto the rank of Lt Gen by selection. Candidates who hold three years MDS Degree will be eligible for three years antedate seniority. They will be promoted to the rank of Substantive Major on completion of 1½ years service whereas candidates with BDS Degree will be promoted after 4 ½ years. 7. TENURE The tenure is of 5 years extendable by another 9 years in two spells, first of 5 years and second of 4 years (total SSC tenure 14 years) for those who are willing to continue subject to laid down eligibility criteria.
