NOTICE BOARD THIS WEEK’S FLOWERS The flowers have been kindly donated by Glenyse Whitehouse in memory of her husband Roland and Parents. Thank you. HARVEST APPEAL 1) Harvest Goods: These have been donated to the homeless hostel in Lye, and they are most grateful 2) Harvest Pounds: This raised something near £250. Thank you for your generosity. Fr Alan is now finding out how to get it to Fr Thomas in Zambia.

SERVICE OF CONFIRMATION – 13 December Preparation sessions will be on Sunday afternoons and will begin on 18 October at 5.15pm. MONDAY MORNING MASS As from THIS Monday the service will be at 11am. MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING There will be a coffee morning for this very important cancer charity this coming Friday 25 September from 10.30am. BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY 27 September 2009 NEXT SUNDAY we will hold Back to Church Sunday. Invitation cards are available for us to use. They are on the back table. Invite someone back, or for a first visit. CHILD PROTECTION COURSES Four places have been reserved for us for the session on Wednesday 30 September at Christchurch, Lye. It starts at 7.30pm and lasts a couple of hours. If you have not attended one, or need to renew, please see Fr Alan or Helen Shakespeare. Names need to be in early this week. STOURBRIDGE STREET PASTORS If you are interested in becoming a Street Pastor, or just finding our more about them, they are holding an information evening on Monday 28 September at New Road Methodist Church at 7.30pm AMBLECOTE COMMUNITY DAY Saturday 10 October 10.30am to 4.30 This will be an opportunity to meet with various aspects of community life in our parish: the hall users, local councillors, the medical practice, the police, the school and so on. A time of coming together and saying We Are Amblecote. There will be tours of the bell tower and a chance to ring a bell, and refreshments. Please put the date in your diary NOW, and come along on the day. And please display a poster in your window. On the back table. VIVA MUSICA IN CONCERT 24 October, 7.30pm, Dudley Concert Hall Viva in the West End. Tickets are £6/£9/£10 Contact Dot Hewins: 01384 371802. CREDIT UNION We shall be holding a service point for Castle & Crystal Credit Union in the Church Hall Committee Room from early October. Those of us volunteering to staff it need to meet.
