October 8, 2009 Media Release Re: Public’s Assistance Requested On Saturday October 3rd, 2009 at approximately 12:06pm, the Auburn Police Department received a criminal mischief complaint. The caller was an employee for the property owner and he was reporting that unknown person(s) damaged several dozen windows in the vacant building that is currently undergoing renovations. The property is located at 201 North Street and is being renovated and converted into condo style apartments. The employee states he reported to the work site at around 8:30am and noticed four windows broken. He further states that he left the site approximately an hour later and when he returned at approximately 12:00pm almost every window on the lower half of the building had been broken. 51 Anderson brand windows had been broken at an estimated value of nearly $40,000.00. The Auburn Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying those responsible for the damage.
