All that I was told by (name of person) was that my services were no longer required and that my termination was effective immediately. To date, I have not received any explanation documenting the reason(s) for my discharge. In accordance with the laws of this state I hereby demand such information in writing immediately. Thank you for your prompt attention and cooperation in this matter. Very truly yours, Your Name --Send certified mail, return receipt requested. --Author's Note: Many states have no laws requiring an employer to furnish a true reason for the discharge upon demand.
