Nibley Park School, Salt Lake School District August-October 2018 Long-Term Substitute Salt Lake City, UT th th • Taught 5 -8 grade Resource daily for 6 weeks, requested specifically for the position by the school. • Created daily lessons for 5th grade Language Arts, 5th grade Math, and 7th/8th grade Language Arts in a pull-out setting, and pushed into 6th grade Language Arts, and 7th and 8th grade math classes daily. • Progress monitored students in reading and math, led a small social skills group, collaborated with other educators for students’ best academic and behavioral interests. Murray High School, Murray City School District January 2019-March 2019 Long-Term Substitute Murray, UT th th • Taught in a 10 -12 grade classroom for students with significant disabilities every other school day. • Instructed in basic math, literacy, and life skills to about eight students at a time on average classified under IDEA under the categories of Intellectual Disability, Autism, and Down Syndrome. • Directed paraprofessionals and peer tutors, graded all assignments, and progress monitored students’ individual behavioral and math goals. Truckee Elementary School, Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Summer 2017 ESY (Extended School Year) Instructional Assistant Truckee, CA • Taught reading, writing, and math to seven students with disabilities who qualified for ESY services daily for 6 weeks, including students with Autism, developmentally delayed, and ID disability categories, as well as ESL students. All students had a range of academic as well as behavior difficulties to address.
