• About Communion…The Lord’s Supper (communion) is served in every worship service. We practice open communion; we consider the Lord’s Supper to be open to all believers in Christ.

• About Offering…If you are a first time guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in this week’s offering. It is intended for members and regular attenders.

• About the Nursery…Our nursery is provided for each worship service and is available for newborns up to children two years of age.

New Children’s Ministry Check In System

Upcoming events for oneighty…

New Way Singers 2010 information/application packets are available for interested high school students at the Activity Center front desk.

We are making some changes in how children, nursery through 4th grade, are checked in to programs at Calvary. We have chosen KidCheck to bring you the best experience at check-in and to provide parents the ability to act as a team, with us, to keep children in safe hands. We will go live with KidCheck December 13. In order to prepare for this transition and to create your free account online with KidCheck, please go to go.kidcheck.com (make sure you don’t type www). You can also sign up in the foyer at the Plugged In Booth today.

College & Career Ministries

Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Study

CCC’s College & Career Ministry has these options: Thursdays, 7:00 p.m. Catalyst meets weekly at Will & Deb Little’s House (507 Laredo Rd, Papillion) for Bible study. If you have questions about any of the College Age Ministry events, please contact Will & Deb Little at 537-0511.

Adult Ministries

Please check out the back of the Bulletin for Adult Bible Fellowship classes. Contact the church office for small group information and opportunities. Common Ground (our young adult ministry - 20 & 30 somethings), Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Activity Center. Join us for a time of fellowship as a large group, and life sharing in smaller groups! Nursery and children’s programming are available through 6th grade. Inner Circle, an adult study for all ages, Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Childcare is available through 6th grade. Inner Circle will not be meeting tonight. One Hope (support and encouragement for Military wives) meets Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in room 301 (the guest reception room). One Hope is utilizing the book “Hope for the Home Front: Winning the Emotional and Spiritual Battles of a Military Wife” by Marshele Carter Waddell. Children’s programming is available through 6th grade. If you are interested in this group or have questions, please contact Shelby Renfro by phone (619-0708) or email ([email protected]).

New to Calvary? Join us for CalvaryCONNECT

CalvaryCONNECT is offered to all new attenders at Calvary as a way for you to get to know us and others in the church, as well as for us to get to know you. CalvaryCONNECT is made of two parts and is offered on consecutive Sunday evenings of each month from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in room 205 of the Activity Center. The first week is “Pizza with the Preacher” and is an introduction to the life and ministry of Calvary hosted by our Lead Minister, Scott Beckenhauer. As the name implies, pizza is provided! The second week is “Connecting to Calvary” and talks more specifically about how you can take the next steps in your involvement with Calvary. Nursery and children’s programming are available through 6th grade. The next CalvaryCONNECT classes will be held December 6 & 13. Please sign up for this session on the bulletin tear-out under Event Registration.

The Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Study will meet December 17th at 10:00 a.m. for their holiday brunch at the home of Mary Sears (10187 Sydney Lane, Plattsmouth). Anyone who has attended the Thursday morning study, or would like to attend, is invited, along with your pre-school children. You may carpool from the church parking lot at 9:30 a.m. Call Mary at 980-9828 for directions.

Jingle Jam – A Walk Through Bethlehem

Bring your family and join us for a hands-on experience in first century Bethlehem! On December 20th & 21st, from 6 - 8pm, the Activity Center at Calvary Christian Church will be transformed into Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’ birth. You and your family will be able to walk through the streets of the village, see the animals that accompanied everyday life, taste some of the foods, and even try out your skills working with the tradesmen. While this event is FREE, you will need to have a ticket in order to attend. Tickets can be picked up in the foyer on Dec. 6th, 13th, & 20th. Or you can call (2931700) or stop by the office starting Monday, Dec. 7th. Each family will receive one ticket for their family (for the night of your choice), and one additional ticket to give to the family of a friend, neighbor, or co-worker in order to invite them to this event. Extra tickets for inviting friends can be requested as supplies last. We are in need of some people to help set up/tear down and to dress up as shepherds, wise men, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. The Colors of Christmas

The Nebraska Christian College Gospel Choir is teaming up this year with Jaci Velasquez and Salvador for their 2nd annual Colors of Christmas concert. This concert is a great way to begin your Christmas celebration with friends and family. The concert is this Saturday, December 12, 7:00 p.m. at the Omaha Civic Music Hall. Tickets are $22 or $18.50 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information, or questions, contact Nebraska Christian College at 935-9400.
