Location: Phoenix Youth at Risk, 1001 E Pierce St, Phoenix, AZ 85006 March 19, Social Networking: Best Practice Table Topics, 6 - 8PM Share nonprofit management best practices with your fellow YNPNers. Table topics to include fundraising and special events, program management, design and evaluation, career advancement, and online social media for nonprofits. Location: TBD April 16, Professional Development Speaker, 6 - 8PM Tom Ambrose, Senior Vice President/Executive Director of Phoenix Suns Charities. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85016 June 18, Professional Development Speaker, 6 - 8PM Robert Ashcraft, Director, Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation and Associate Professor, School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. Location: Arizona Community Foundation, 2201 E. Camelback Road, Suite 202, Phoenix, AZ July, Summer Break, No Event August 7, 8, 9 (Friday evening through Sunday morning), YNPN Phoenix Member Retreat Jackpot Ranch, Camp Verde, AZ. YNPN Phoenix members in attendance will co-create our 2009 "YNPN Phoenix: State of the Nonprofit Sector" position letter and provide guidance to the YNPN Phoenix board on our 2010 events schedule. $50 cost includes food, lodging, and conference materials. Space is limited. September 26 (Saturday), Social Networking: Tour de Phoenix Nonprofit, 10:00AM to 2:30PM Take light rail to tour four Phoenix downtown nonprofit organizations. Each nonprofit will propose a service project to be completed by YNPN Phoenix in November. Members in attendance will vote on which proposal to accept when we dine for lunch at Carly’s. There is no fee for this event, members and guests pay for lunch on their own. October 15, Professional Development Speaker, 6 - 8PM Don Henninger, Publisher, Phoenix Business Journal. Location: TBD November, Social Networking: YNPN Phoenix Gives Back Join your fellow YNPNers in volunteering to make our community better by completing service project from Tour de Phoenix: Nonprofit. Location and details TBD. December, Winter Break, No Event Events $5 suggested donation for members, $10 suggested donation for non-members, unless noted otherwise. Cost includes food and beverage and, in most cases, any fees related to the event. Annual membership is $20. Nonprofit organizations who purchase three or more memberships receive a 25% discount on membership fees. Events and speakers are subject to change and cancellation.
