VERNON LUCAS ALBRIGHT
I have a “Yes” answer on my current Form U-4 because I have a tax lien in the amount of $1000.00. I met my wife in Philadelphia, where I resided, in 1999. She, however, resided in Chicago, so I moved here, and we married in November, 2000. We filed a joint tax return for the year 2000, and paid Illinois taxes for the entire year. Our accountant did not compute taxes for Pennsylvania for half the year 2000, as he should have. I learned of this problem when we filed this year (with a different accountant!) and the $500.00 taxes owed by me for the first half of 2000 has grown to $1000, with interest and penalties. I would be happy to answer any questions regarding this matter. It is our intention to pay this obligation as soon as possible.
