Quick Reference Cards for Yaesu Radios, courtesy W5JCK

Yaesu VX–6R: Memory Storage Press V/M for VFO mode, tune the receive frequency. Press F/W then SET to enter Set mode. Set tone mode via Menu 60 SQL.TYP. Set tone frequency via Menu 66 TN FRQ. Press PTT to save settings and exit Set mode. Press and hold F/W for one second, turn to desired memory channel, press F/W again to store frequency.

Yaesu FT–7800R: Memory Storage Press V/M for VFO mode, tune the receive frequency. Press and hold SET for ½ second to enter Set mode. Set tone mode via Menu 42 SQL.TYP. Set tone frequency via Menu 44 TN FRQ. Press and hold SET for ½ second to exit Set mode. Press and hold V/M for ½ second, turn to desired memory channel, press V/M again to store frequency.

Yaesu FT–8800R: Memory Storage Press V/M for VFO mode, tune the receive frequency. Press SET to enter Set mode. Set tone mode via Menu 41 TONE M. Set tone frequency via Menu 40 TONE F. Press and hold DIAL for ½ second to exit Set mode. Press and hold SET for ½ second, turn to desired memory channel, press SET again to store frequency.

Yaesu VX–6R: Miscellaneous Operations TX Power: Press F/W then TX PO to change level. Rev TX/RX: Press HM/RV (if Menu 28 is set to REV) or press F/W then HM/RV (if Menu 28 is set to HOME) PRI channel: Press and hold F/W for one second, turn to desired memory channel, press BAND. Dual Watch: Press and hold DW for one second. Lock Keypad: Press and hold LK for one second.

Yaesu FT–7800R: Miscellaneous Operations TX Power: Press LOW to change level. Rev TX/RX: Press and hold HM/RV (if Menu 16 is set to REV). PRI channel: Store the frequency for the Priority Channel into Memory Channel 1. Dual Watch: Press and hold MHz for ½ second. Lock Keys/Buttons: Set using Menu 21 Lock.

Yaesu FT–8800R: Miscellaneous Operations TX Power: Press LOW to change level. Rev TX/RX: Press right REV(V/M) (if Menu 20 is set to KEY2). PRI channel: Store the frequency for the Priority Channel into Memory Channel 1. Dual Watch: Press and hold HM for ½ second. Lock Keys/Buttons: Set using Menu 21 Lock.

Instructions: Print on a heavy card-stock paper. (Paper designed for printing photos will work well.) Cut out each (side-by-side) pair, then fold over so that Memory Storage appears on one side and Miscellaneous Operations appears on the other. Laminate and trim to the size of a credit card. It is now easily carried in your wallet or even in your ID badge holder.
