Y1 Christmas Celebration Invite

Come and Celebrate Christmas in the EY Building When:

Friday 11th December

Where:

Year One and EY shared areas

Can I come and learn about Christmas? We would like to invite all parents to attend this event. 10:00-11:00: Join us as we participate in a variety of activities 11:00-12:00: Parents welcome to enjoy tea and coffee while children return to classrooms 12:00-12:30: Join us for shared lunch in the Year 1 Area What is happening? The children will have the opportunity to be involved in the following: • We will read a story about the origins of Christmas in class, prior to the celebration. •

We will have an area for Nativity dress up and role play.

•

We will make jingle bells.

•

We will have a snowflake craft and foil chain making activity.

•

We will have a Rudolph the reindeer craft activity.

•

We will make oranges with cloves.

•

We will decorate cookies.

•

And the children will have a special guest and an opportunity for photos.

•

Then we will all come together to sing Christmas carols and enjoy a shared lunch. The Year 1’s in the Year 1 common area and the EY’s in the EY common area.

What should I send in with my child for the party? For the Year 1 Lunch – please send enough for 5 children Fresh fruit and vegetables (cut and peeled) 1JB Sandwiches (meat and vegetarian options) 1RP Finger Foods (spring rolls, samosa, cheese, chicken 1NW pieces etc) Drinks (small boxed drinks) 1ZP Chips, cookies and other assorted sweets 1CC
