H Chem - Extra Credit Assignment You can create any type, size or style molecular model that represents the following: 1. One of the various allotropes of Carbon (buckeyballs, graphite, diamond, nanotubes, etc) 2. Structures exclusive to nanotechnology (semiconductor chips, transistors, etc 3. Metallic Crystal structure (fcc, bcc, hexagonal) 4. Ionic Crystalline structure 5. A series of homogeneous molecules (several waters, ammonias, methanes, etc. or a large version of one molecule)
Parameters- The models can be built with any material but can be no larger than the size of 15x15x15 inch cube. The models must also be able to be hung from the ceiling or attached to the wall. Models should be clearly labeled. You will present your model to the class in a brief discussion at least 3 minutes long. You should discuss your model's structure, function, application and connection with material covered in class
