1) Elicit directions words -up, down, stairs, left, right, (in) front (of), back, turn, past, walk, out, in, next to 2) Direct one kid at a time around the classroom (eyes closed) 3) Elicit words for places on campus -canteen/cafeteria, classroom building, library (/English library), dormitory, store, garden, bike rack, gate, playground, office building 4) Draw map on board -have students come up one by one, pick a place from the list, and draw it on the map 5) Students work with partners to direct each other to various places e.g. How do you get from the playground to the English library? From the girls' dorm to the canteen? etc. (give them a list of places to go) 6) if there's extra time: Direct students to some unknown place. -start at a place, give directions, have students figure out where they end up
