Workshop Nº 2 Refer to the Teaching Stage you have already started and answer the following questions: 1. Do you feel satisfied with your performance as a teacher so far? Take about the things you like and about the ones you don´t like. I’m really satisfied with my performance as a teacher, I felt very confident with myself because all the time I have felt the students and the teacher’s support. One of the things that I like is the respect that students have with me so they are very nice too on the other hand my teacher guide always helps me when I have needed. 2. Guide teacher’s support: How effective has it been during this stage? Why? The Guide teacher’s support has been very useful and effective for me. She helps me in any thing I can need in terms of planning, how to feel comfortable to the students to work better, and what kind of activities students really enjoy, and after of each session she gives me a feedback about the class presented. Those things have helped me a lot in terms of improving my work as a teacher. 3. Student’s level of engagement: Do your students enjoy the classroom learning activities presented? ; What do they say about them? They participate a lot, asking and answering questions, 4. Planning and lesson preparation: What teaching approach do you consider appropriate to students ´learning style? Which one are you actually using with them? Why? We work a lot with listenings, power point, complentary activities, and speaking in english most of the time. 5. Lesson Timing: How much of the planned activities do you actually cover in each lesson? Is it what you expected? At first I had some problems with the time and most of the time I didn’t cover all the activities planned for each session. Today and after some weeks working inside the classroom I have improved a lot about how to use the time and I can say that I have covered the activities planned for the sessions. AIVV/RAGS 2009
