Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was born in Kentucky on February 12, 1809. His parents were poor farmers who lived in a log cabin. When he was eight years old the family moved to Indiana. At that time Indiana was a wild region with bears and other wild animals in the woods. Abraham helped his father work on the farm. He learned to read during at night after his chores were done. He sometimes had only the light from the fireplace or a candle to see the book. He learned to read, write and do math by the time he had grown up. But he continued to educate himself finally becoming a lawyer. Directions: Read the question then write the correct answer. You can find the answers by rereading the paragraph above.
