Significance of Study • Anti TB drugs are hepatotoxic. • Ampalaya juice may offer some form of liver protection in PTB patients under this form of therapy • To some extent, by an unknown mechanism, ampalaya may also induce liver damage. This study might be able to explore one form of drug-herb interaction which may result to an additive or synergistic effect to cause hepatotoxicity.

Objective of Study 7

Main objectives • To determine the effect of Ampalaya in Anti-TB drug induced hepatotoxicity in Male Albino rats

Specific Objective • To observed hepatotoxicity induced my Anti-TB drugs • To observe hepatoprotective effect of ampalaya • To determine possible drug-herb interraction

Acclimatized for 1 week

For 2 weeks Rats sacrificed via Cervical Dislocation Liver dissected and undergone histopath
