WOOD SEAL - B™ - Fire Retardant Penetrant (Water Based - Non Toxic )

Flame Spread=35, Smoke Developed = 95 RECOMMENDED USE: INTERIOR - WOOD SEAL™ Fire Retardant - Class "B" penetrant can be used on any type of unpainted wood and many other cellulose materials. Paint or stain can be applied over the treated material.* Application may be accomplished by either brush, roller or spray methods. The coverage rate should be 150-350 square feet per gallon, depending upon the results desired. This product may be used on materials such as: Fir, Cedar, Redwood. Pine, Straw, Paper/Cardboard, Wall Coverings, etc. WOOD SEAL™ application is acceptable for use Outdoors when the product is protected from rain and moisture.

ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS: This product complies with U.S. Federal Regulations concerning the use of lead in paint AND hydrocarbon emissions.

* Make sure that a paint or coating is not flammable, and does not negatively effect the fire resistant properties of the Flame Seal product.

SPOT TEST SECTION: 1. WOOD TO BE TESTED MUST BE UNTREATED, UNPAINTED, CLEAN AND DRY. 2. BRUSH, ROLL, OR SPRAY BOTH SIDES OF WOOD SAMPLE IF POSSIBLE. APPLY AMPLE WOOD SEAL TO SATURATE THE WOOD. 3. USE PRODUCT IN AREA WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. 4. ALLOW TIME TO DRY. 5. TEST BURN WITH A FLAME OR TORCH TO CHECK THAT THE WOOD DOES NOT CONTINUE TO BURN WHEN THE FLAME IS REMOVED. *** ( NOTE: THE CHEMICAL MUST BE USED IN ITS " UNDILUTED" STATE. ) *** WOOD TREATMENT: APPLY WOOD SEAL FLAME RETARDANT TO THE WOOD BY SAME METHOD AS THE SUCCESSFULLY TESTED SAMPLE. COVERAGE RATE SHOULD BE 150 - 350 SQUARE FEET PER GALLON. ALLOW WOOD SEAL TO DRY. EXTERIOR - IF THE WOOD SURFACE WILL BE EXPOSED TO WATER - A NON-FLAMMABLE PAINT OR COATING SHOULD ™ BE APPLIED AS A TOP COAT AFTER WOOD SEAL HAS DRIED.
