SPOKESPERSON AVAILABILITY WMD Commissioners Available for Interviews For stories related to terrorism and proliferation, members of the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism are available to talk about a range of issues including: Weapons of mass destruction proliferation Nuclear terrorism Bioterrorism National security International terrorism threats including Iran, Pakistan and North Korea About the Commission Congress established the Commission to implement a key recommendation of the 9/11 Commission. The Commission will make specific recommendations this fall on what the nation can do to improve its efforts to prevent WMD proliferation and terrorism.

Former Senator Bob Graham, Commission Chairman, Graham Center for Public Service, University of Florida and University of Miami. Sen. Graham represented Florida in the Senate for 18 years and has been vocal about intelligence failures prior to 9/11. Former Senator Jim Talent, Commission Vice-Chairman, Distinguished Fellow, The Heritage Foundation. Sen. Talent represented Missouri in the U.S. Senate and now works to raise awareness of the importance of assuring stable military funding in times peace and war. Former Rep. Timothy Roemer, President, Center for National Policy. Mr. Roehmer represented Indiana for 12 years and helped sponsor the 9/11 Commission. Ambassador Wendy Sherman, Principal, The Albright Group LLC. Ambassador Sherman served as counselor and chief troubleshooter for the State Department, as well as Special Advisor to President Clinton and Policy Coordinator on North Korea. Dr. Graham Allison, Director, Harvard University Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. For the past three decades, Dr. Allison has been a leading analyst of U.S. national security and defense policy with a special interest in terrorism.

After serving more than five years as a senior policy advisor to the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Mr. Verma now counsels clients on a broad range of legislative and public policy matters. Henry Sokolski, Executive Director, Nonproliferation Policy Education Center. Mr. Sokolski worked on nonproliferation issues under Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and has authored and edited a number of works on proliferationrelated issues. Stephen Rademaker, Senior Counsel, BGR Holding, LLC. Mr. Rademaker served as Policy Director for National Security Affairs and Senior Counsel for Sen. Bill Frist. He was confirmed as an Assistant Secretary of State in 2002. Robin Cleveland, Principal, Olivet Consulting, LLC. Ms. Cleveland was a former close advisor to Paul Wolfowitz when he held the World Bank’s top position.
