United Kingdom Fittings Candle Clip Candle shades and small coolie shades up to 7" diameter will normally have clip fittings, and clip onto:

small bayonet candle bulb (SBC), which fits into:

candle tube, which fits over:

small bayonet lampholder (SBC) SBC candle bulbs. Max 40W

BC Gimbel Lampshades with fixed gimbels, normally sizes from 8" to 16" diameter, screw onto:

bayonet cap lampholder, switched (EPB) or unswitched (BC)

Shades 8"-10" use 60W golf ball

Shades 11" and above use general service bulb. Max 60W

shade carrier, which screws onto:

bayonet cap lampholder, switched (EPB) or unswitched (BC)

Use general service bulbs. Max 100W

Finnial Lampshades with finnial fittings (not commonly used in Britain) can be used with 2 way lamp fittings and finnial. They fit onto:

2 way fittings.

Use general service bulbs Up to 2x 60W
