Windham County Libraries build community in 2007- 2008,
On average, more than 6765 people walked through library doors each week. Attendance at more than 2934 programs was over 39,000 for lectures, book discussions, children’s storytelling, & summer reading. Residents of Windham County borrowed more than 370,000 books, movies, and audiobooks, and… They found answers to more than 45,000 reference and research questions.
Windham County Libraries are deep mines of information and enrichment. They hold 273,177 books for public use 12,627 CDs and audiotapes; many offer downloadable audio through Listen Up Vermont 15,141 DVDs and videos 834 magazine subscriptions All have public access to the Internet; most have high-speed connections. Many subscribe to the Vermont Online Library, putting the resources of a large, highly funded library as close as your Internet connection.
