William H Delacey

William H. DeLacey William DeLacey was a colonel and highly decorated commander of the 839th Air Division at Sewart Air Base. The 839th Air Division was an airlift division that provided command and staff supervision for assigned units. A Veteran of WW2 he served at one point as the commander of the Tempelhof Air force Base in Berlin Germany. During his career he served as Commander at different times for the 314 Operations Group (AETC), the 314th Troop Carrier Group and the 316th Troop Carrier Group.
