Why?
Why is a good
question, one people have been asking for thousands of years.
Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? (Psalm 10:1)
O Lord, why do you reject me? Why do you turn your face from me? (Psalm 88:14)
Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do the faithless live at ease? (Jeremiah 12:1)
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning? (Psalm 22:1)
Why? It’s a very good question. What are we supposed to do with it?
I
trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:10-11)
Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. (Psalm 37:3)
Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord. (Psalm 32:10)
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you. (Psalm 37:5)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful. (Proverbs 16:20)
