.Paragraph 1 The name Australia was first suggested by Matthew Flinders and supported by Governor Macquarie (1810-1821).

Paragraph 2.  Australia is 7,600,000 km it is 3 times the size of Greenland which is the 2nd largest island.

Paragraph3  The first British settlement on the island was made at Risdon in 1803 when Lieutenant John Bowen landed with about 50 settlers.

Paragraph4  The design of the Australian flag was chosen in 190 after an Australian-wide competition.

Conclusion  The most interesting question Matt and Lauren found out was Matthew Flinders named Australia Australia.
