There is a space wherewe will preserve humanity’s history. In that space one will find a collection of some of the world’s finest pieces of art, representing all of the major movements, including realism, dada, impressionism, cubism, romanticism, surrealism, other isms and, of course classical works and sculptures. They will be displayed as in a museum, circulating the room in chronological order and with an explanation of each movement next to each piece of art. Amid the display of artwork are the most influential inventions of our time including: The Film Camera The Light Bulb The Telephone The Telegraph Machine The Radio The Evolution of Computers Television The Automobile The Wagon Matches The Steam Engine (In miniature) The Sewing Machine Microscope Telescope Paper and Pen There are also children’s toys from all over the world. And unlike in modern museums, the explorers can touch and interact with the artifacts found in this room. Over the speakers Beethoven, Elvis Presley, U2 and other important musicians play. But in the center of that space is a computerthat holds the most impressive history. With 500 batteries and a printer with 500 reams of paper it is ready for its discoverers to use. The computer will be programmed to reveal our history to anyone who will happen to find the room. It will be programmed in an easy to use fashion, relying mostly on icons to direct the user at first. After the user pushes the brightly colored “on” button they will be directed to the desktop where they can begin to explore our history digitally. The following are the icons and the pages that they lead to.
