What Is Sin

It is “not a mere violation of the law of our constitution, nor of the system of things, but an offense against a personal lawgiver and moral governor who vindicates his law with penalties. Because of sin, all unsaved people will someday be forever separated from God in the lake of fire. In summary it may be said that sin: a. dulls man’s ears (acts 28;27) b. darkens his eye (eph. 4:18) c. diverts his feet (isa. 53:6) d. defiles his tongue (rom. 3:13, 14) e. deceives his heart (jer. 17:9) f. devours his intellect (1 cor. 2:14) g. dooms his soul (ezek. 18:4)
