Weekly Agenda

First Grade Agenda Reading:

 Students will read and spell words with the “ar” sound.  Students can identify words and phrases in stories that suggest feelings or appeal to the senses.  We will focus on appropriate rate, reading with expression, accuracy, and fluency.

Math: *Math fact fluency with addition and subtraction within 20.  Students will be able to depict fractions involving dividing circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares. We will use the words halves, fourths, and quarters.

HOMEWORK:

*Math homework – Monday and Thursday night **Reading homework: A reading sheet with words will be sent home on Tuesday night. Most Common Words – Practice these words with your child.
