Revision Plan for WA3: Research Proposal I feel confident that my research proposal is written well. After having it proof-read, I realize that there are several things I left out of my paper… key things that would have caused points to be taken off of my final paper. According to the student who read my paper, she stated that I “plan to accomplish discovering the relationship between service and the overall taste/experience of the food and dining in the cafeteria, and determine how they interact with each other”. The stated thesis on my front page (that I later asked my peer if she read, and she had not) said my research proposal is “explaining the ideas, connections, and intents on researching why and how literacy impacts food service at Texas A&M University – Commerce”. Although my peer did not join the idea in one concept, I do feel that she hit on the key points, which means my point/thesis was made clear in my paper. However, my peer did mention that I “didn’t say how [I] was going to obtain the student’s permission”, but “[I] have already received permission from the general manager”. Going back and reading my paper, I did indeed skip out on including how I would obtain information and how I would interview students in particular.
