What other meetings/activities do you hold connected with your ministry not stated above? We have leadership training seminars prior to the start of each Alpha course. This would be a 4part course with each session being about 2 hours. 3.) What is the age bracket of your target attendees? The age range would be 20+

4.) What is your average attendance? 60-100

5.) What facilities does your ministry require to fulfill its purpose? Please include audio & lighting needs. 1 Foyer / An area to accommodate 3 Greeting area registration tables for various language groups to welcome guests as they arrive 2 Kitchen To prepare and serve the catered facilities meals to our guests and to serve tea and snacks during the break. We would need cups and teaspoons. For sharing meals and having tea 3 Fellowship area w/ tables breaks with a group of up to 100 people. and chairs 4 1 Meeting To present the English/Chinese Room for Live talk. Room would need a Computer, Projector and Screen Talk - Able to seat as well as a Microphone and the necessary equipment to facilitate 30+ people one worship leader with guitar. The ability to dim lights as needed would be good. 5 2 meeting To present the evenings talk to rooms for the various foreign language groups. Foreign language talks Rooms would need a projector

-Able to seat and screen (or large TV with 30+ people adequate speakers) and a DVD player each 6

7

Ie: leader & guest manuals, books, DVD’s, sundry items 10 Smaller Rooms - able to seat 8-12 people each

6.) Other comments/points regarding your ministry

The Alpha leaders and helpers now use the meeting room for a time of prayer in advance of each evenings activities, but in due course we hope to have a team in prayer during the whole Alpha evening. This would mean the need for one extra room for the intercessors.

ONE BODY – FILIPINO MINISTRY

1.) Describe your ministry and what happens on a typical evening/session. Jesus told me to have five elements for each One Body meeting, which are: food, music, testimony, teaching and prayer. We begin therefore with a ‘pot luck’ lunch after 11:30 service, during which we have as many non-One Body guests each meal as One Body members. We then go to the Oasis for ministry, and combine music, prayer, ministry, small group prayer and prophecy, and fellowship for the rest of the afternoon. 2.) What other meetings/activities do you hold connected with your ministry not stated above? E.g. Leaders’ meetings, etc. Yes, of course, we go to the leaders’ meetings, and we also have bi-weekly street ministry near Central Market, and other barbecues, etc., on holidays, outside of the Vine building. 3.) What is the age bracket of your target attendees? Middle aged women mostly, but we have frequent visitors from all walks of life, refugees, local Chinese, Korean, foreign missionaries, etc., children, early 20’s, etc. 4.) What is your average attendance? 10 - 15 for ministry, 30 for lunch. 5.) What facilities does your ministry require to fulfill its purpose? Please include audio & lighting needs. We make do with whatever we can find. We use the Oasis stereo for music (patching a laptop or ipod into it), and sometimes the DVD player, or we sing acapella, or just pray earnestly in a group. Since we pray and meditate each meeting for 30 minutes to an hour, having the couches and bean bag chairs has been nice. 6.) Other comments/points regarding your ministry We’ve been told by the Lord several times that He will grow One Body “by My Hand, not yours” and will enlarge it; some have seen a considerable group. Currently we are being humble and patient to stay focused on training leaders to walk in the Kingdom and submit their lives in trust in truth to the Lord—to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We therefore have no personal plans to go and grow the group, but know the Lord has spoken it several times, so we are preparing for that eventuality. When we’ve been worried about having small numbers, feeling the pressure by the pastors to make it bigger, Jesus has actually prophesied to others and have them come to us and tell us to not worry about the pressure because obedience is more important than growing numbers; so again we have focused on developing true worship in the small core group, which is always in a state of flux due to the constraints on the community, and we focus on being patient while we are active serving the Lord as best we can. Jesus also told us that our street ministry would not show a lot of visible fruit for a while, but then there would be a lot of fruit. So we are encouraged by God to be faithful to serve the people on the street where they are by praying for them, encouraging them, teaching them, sharing materials with them for free that we pay for, etc., regardless of whether they ever come to the Vine building or not. We are also very happy to serve so many people a free lunch on Sunday. Even when we’ve had no money between us, thanks to God taking care of us, we’ve always had enough food

for everyone. Honestly, what the Lord will do with One Body over the next 15 years is something I would be foolish to even venture a guess on. But I still appreciate your willingness to ask us to share our needs with you.

Worship and Creative Arts 1.) Describe your ministry and what happens on a typical evening/session. a. b. c. d. e. f. g.

We provide a band for every Vine service, which involves using a fully equipped stage and audio system The band needs to practice every Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon We also provide Vine News video and My Story video every weekend Filming for videos takes place in the week usually in the tabernacle Audio recording takes place every week in the office Podcast recording and uploading happens every week Bulletin and other print media needs to be prepared and printed each week

2.) What other meetings/activities do you hold connected with your ministry not stated above? i.e. Leaders’ meetings

MANNA BIBLE SCHOOL 1.) Describe your ministry and what happens on a typical evening/session. Manna courses are usually 3-6 weeks in length, and are currently held on consecutive Saturday mornings from 10:00am – 1:00pm. We meet in the Multi-function room, and usually have between 570 people attending. 2.) What other meetings/activities do you hold connected with your ministry not stated above? i.e Leaders’ meetings None really. We currently run this ministry directly between myself and Blair Donaldson. 3.) What is the age bracket of your target attendees?

Any age, but usually mostly adults. We hold WACA team nights 3 times a year (once a quarter) and use the lounge and MFR rooms 4.) What is your average attendance? We hold worship team auditions 5-6 times a year, usually in the tabernacle We run a Christmas production each year that requires practice and rehearsal space 50-70. We run worship seminars and conferences and require a fully equipped conference centre (main auditorium, break out rooms for sessions, registration areas, hang out areas) e. We run concerts and productions and need a fully equipped concert venue 5.) What facilities does your ministry require to fulfill its purpose? Please include audio & lighting needs. 3.) What is the age bracket of your target attendees? Chairs, tables (must), computer, projector, audio for speaking and playing video etc. Current projectors are of a poor standard. We also need audio recording facility, and possibly video a. All ages recording in the future. 4.) What is your average attendance? 6.) Other comments/points regarding your ministry a. There are around 80 people on our team (including sound, media, music) We are expecting growth in this ministry. All above requirements are for how this ministry runs currently. However, plans are being made that would require us to have a dedicated space to run daily 5.) What facilities does your ministry require to fulfill its purpose? Please include audio & lighting needs. theology and other types of training for people. a. Too much information to put here. This will need to go in a separate Audio/Visual section a. b. c. d.

b.

We desperately need a Creative Media Studio where we can record all the weekly videos and voiceovers needed each week.

c.

We also need a separate band practice area so that we can practice for worship without having to use the main auditorium. This could be joined together with the Creative Media Studio mentioned above.

d.

We need full A/V capabilities throughout the entire building. It will be essential to be able to feed sound and video from the main auditorium to every other room. We also need a high speed network to be able to transfer files from computer to computer throughout the building

e.

Full camera capabilities in the main auditorium to allow video recording and feeds of the main service

180 Young Adults 1.)

FLIGHT 852 – YOUTH 1.) Describe your ministry and what happens on a typical evening/session. Concept: a youth facility setup to reach out to the currently unchurched youth of HK. To train and equip them to fulfill the Destiny God has for them x x x x

Create a safe and relevant environment for youth in HK Installing positive influences in their life – relationships, media and music Offer training with design, music, art and hospitality Holding mid week seeker sensitive meetings: Alpha, Quest and The Rat Cage

Leaders meetings, PLUS meetings throughout the week, worship events. Every summer we have the Summer College Program (SCP) which requires the kitchen and many rooms for small group discussion. 3.)

What is the age bracket of your target attendees?

Our youth are regularly coming to worship practice, filming/editing flight news, plus groups and bible studies during the week. Usually between 4pm-7:30pm Tues-Friday

18 – 30 yrs 4.)

2.) What other meetings/activities do you hold connected with your ministry not stated above? i.e Leaders’ meetings

What is your average attendance? 3.) What is the age bracket of your target attendees? The Next Gen.13-18yrs olds

Other comments/points regarding your ministry

5.) What facilities does your ministry require to fulfill its purpose? Please include audio & lighting needs.

We really need a welcome area for new people Youth Centre Band Room

English Corner

Coffee Shop + Stage

Recording Room

Creative Arts Centre

Sports facilities

- Band room Teach English Recording room Coffee Shop + Stage Sports facilities – basketball, soccer pitch outside Art and design section Main purpose: Band Room: one of our most popular events with our youth is our rock shows where school bands perform and invite their friends to watch. We would like to take this one step further and have a space for the youth to practice and seek advice from us. In HK there are already band rooms but are usually expensive and impersonal. We look at this as an opportunity to work with the youth, build relationship and introduce them to God. English Corner: we will offer affordable English to the public in order to build relationship and connect with individuals outside of the church. This area will be setup in a coffee shop environment rather than a classroom.

Meeting Room: we would like to create an environment where the youth can gather to socialize, discuss, pray and a place to call their own etc. This area would allow us to hold small meetings (6080pple) Merch. Area: we want to create a place to make it easy for the youth to obtain material for their spiritual development. The Merch. Area will be a place to sell Cds, DVDs, Books, Bibles etc. This area will also have some secular bands with a positive message to help the youth cross over between Secular - Christian Coffee Shop with Stage: convert the meeting room into an area where we can have a coffee bar to sell drinks and snacks. Also like to put in a mini stage for acoustic performances and worship times. This will allow us a chance to train our youth in hospitality and give them a solid skill. Also this will be a small venue for people to perform and express themselves creatively. Also there will be a computer corner for youth to study, design, and surf. Recording Room: modify band room into a recording room to help the youth learn how to mix, record and produce music. Our aim is to produce music for low cost, mid quality that will be used to develop the youth music scene in Hong Kong. Creative Arts Centre: from 2 computers in the coffee chop we would like to set up an apple design room. Where we will teach the youth poster layout, video/graphic editing, music mixing and website design. Also we would have a place for a dance/painting studio where we will allow the youth to express creativity

6.)

Other comments/points regarding your ministry

We really need our own space, the youth are looking for a place to belong we need to create a sense of this in the church otherwise they will go somewhere else to find it. Obviously what they look for is not a building but people who truly love them. With that in mind we do need a place where youth can come and be equipped. It’s a pain when we have all this high end gear but our youth can’t use it as it is for the main Sunday event. This is understandable as they don’t want things damaged. But if that’s case we need our own gear and our own space to grow.
