Vikram Dogra

Brief Introduction to Dr.Vikram Dogra, MD Dr. Dogra is Professor of Diagnostic Radiology, Urology and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester. He is also Associate Chair of Education & Research, Director, Division of Ultrasound at the University of Rochester and Affiliate Professor, Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Dogra is a well respected name in the field of Radiology education and research, specifically in ultrasound. Dr. Dogra has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and presentations. He is a much sought after speaker and has traveled worldwide. He was International Visiting Professor in Uganda sponsored by the Radiologic Society of North America. Dr. Dogra is on various national committees and represents ultrasound interests. He is a member of the Annual Convention Committee for AIUM; Chair of education/efficacy and administration scientific subcommittee for ARRS and member of the Genitourinary Subcommittee for Radiological Society of North America. In additions Dr. Dogra is American Board of Radiology examiner in Ultrasound and Genito-Urinary categories. Dr. Dogra is Fellow of the AIUM, Fellow of the Society of Uroradiology (SUR) and Fellow of the European Society of Uroradiology (ESUR). Dr. Dogra has been guest editor for six clinics series and is a founding member of Ultrasound Clinics published by Elsevier Sciences. He is on the Editorial Boards of many journals including Ultrasound Quarterly & Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr.Dogra is a consulting Editor to Ultrasound Clinics. As far as his research is concerned his personal lab (Dogralab), has a dedicated PhD and postdoc. The main area of interest is in photoacoustic imaging of prostate cancer.
