Vijayananda printers Ltd A STUDY ON EMPLOYEES RESPONSE TOWARDS OCCUPATIONAL FACTORS BEFORE & AFTER ACQUISITION. The Vijayananda Printers Ltd is one of the well established company and has grown from time to time with all its constrains and difficulties. The company is now a pioneered one and now this company is acquired by Times groups. The problem here is to study “the employees’ status of mind and working condition before and after acquiring”. This study is an attempt to study sincerely the different department of the organization as a whole and the different departments in turn. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY: To know the employees openion regarding working environment in
VPL both before & after acquisition To know the benefits of acquisition to the employees with respect to welfare activities SCOPE OF THE STUDY: The study is limited to the internal practices and mind set of employees before
& after acquisition which is a purely internal factor. SOURCES OF DATA COLLECTION: The methods of sources adopted for collecting the data during the period of organization study training are mentioned below. 1. PRIMARY SOURCE: The information has been gathered with the help of primary resources such as questionnaires, interviews and discussions with the managers and staff. To know about the functioning of the organization. 2. SECONDARY SOURCE: City college, Bangalore.
Page 41
Vijayananda printers Ltd The information has also been gathered through secondary sources such as broachers, manuals, various documents and annual reports of the organization, which are available in company’s library. LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY: 1. The time duration prescribed by the University for the Study is 6 weeks but
deeply studying on organization in 6 weeks is rather impossible. 2. Response given in the questionnaires may not be that accurate because the employees are working for some special projects all the time. 3. As this firm is public concern, all the valuable information are not available, the conclusions are accurate to that extent.

SUGGESTIONS: The six weeks training program at Vijayananda Printers Limited was a great experience. During this training period, I was exposed to the various functions of the departments. The various aspects that were found at the VPL are clearly mentioned in the previous pages of this project. I would like to conduct this report by recommending further suggestion, which may be useful to the management for enhancing the efficiency of the organization. Company should improve it’s channel to reach village areas in time. Company can think of publishing periodicals targeting women regarding fashion and home making. The company should provide good canteen facilities.
