Lit & Comp I Verb Tense Challenge Names: _______________________________________________________________________________ In your groups you will be hunting for clauses throughout the Odyssey that illustrate the different verb tenses that we went over last class. You must write down the clause (including the subject and the verb) from the Odyssey in which the verb is found, the line number(s) of that clause, and the verb tense that the clause illustrates. Here is how this will be scored: Simple present, simple past, and simple future = 1 point each Present perfect, past perfect, future perfect = 2 points each You get a 5-point bonus if you find at least one example of each tense You can only score once per clause (i.e. no extra points for compound verbs) Every group gets 5/5 in the Quizzes category for diligently completing the work.
