zsÀ£ÀéAvÀjà dAiÀÄAw – Dhanvantri is referred as the god of health, healing and cure. Dhanavantari emerged from the 'Ocean of Milk' and appeared with the pot of nectar during the story of the Samudra or Samudra Manthana whilst the samudra was being churned by the devas and asuras, using the mandara mountain and the serpent Vasuki was the rope. The pot of Amrita was snatched by the Asuras or Demons, (Here

Dhanvantry allowed Daithyas to snath the pot – to show how wicked they are) and after this event another avatar, Mohini appears and takes the nectar back from the daityas and distributes among the devategalu.
