Windows Configuration Information Commands: 

Tomcat 5 – Servlet web server. needs to be started manually.  Start -> Programs -> Apache Tomcat 6.0 -> Start Tomcat  Clrl+c



Jboss – Jboss web and application server. needs to be started manually.  Run.bat  Ctrl+c



Set Environmental Variables – SetEnv is used to set variables for use with Orbacus.  Desktop -> Orbacus Java - Sets variables for Java Orbacus  Desktop -> Visual Studio 2005 - Sets Variables for C++ Orbacus

Notes: 

Java Orbacus will only work with Java 1.5. The system is installed with a default Java 1.6. Use the Orbacus Java from the Desktop to change from Java 1.6 to Java 1.5 in the command window. Java Orbacus now uses Ant to compile and not make files. Tomcat 6 and Jboss do not work together. Only one of them can be run at a time. On the second page of this doc is a layout of the FHS (File Hierarchy Structure). Included is the location of Java, Orbacus, web pages etc.
