PURPOSE. This advisory circular (AC) transmits a schedule of charges for services of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards aviation safety inspectors outside the United States. The methodology for determining these charges and the initial charges developed by this methodology were established by rulemaking action to Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 187, Docket No. 27809; Notice No. 94-24, Fees for Certification Services and The Approvals Performed Outside the United States. rulemaking established that these fees would be published in an advisory circular. 1.

RELATED FAR SECTIONS. Each charge listed in Appendix 1 refers to an FAA activity described in the FAR. Specific FAR reference is listed beside each category of service and FAR Part 187, charge. Generally, these charges refer to: Methodology for Computation of Charges; FAR Appendix A Parts 61, 63, and 65 - Airman certification; FAR Parts 141, and FAR Part 142, 145, and 147 - Air agency certification; 183 - Designees.

APPENDIX CHANGES. FAA plans to review the actual costs incurred in the services listed in Appendix 1, at the beginning of each fiscal year, using the same fee methodology described in FAR Part 187, Appendix A.
