Mr. A.C. Tikadar Additional Commissioner Central Excise, Kol-II Kolkata

August 19, 2003

Dear Sir, Sub: Permission regarding removal of goods manufactured at unit-I from the place of assemble of final product at unit- II in terms of Rule 4(6) of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2002. Please refer to your letter C.No. : IV(16) 38/CE/PRO/KOL-II/1621G dated 7/7/03 wherein you have stated that you had granted us permission for removal of product manufactured at unit –I from the place of assemble of final product at unit II vide letter dated C.No. IV(16)38-CE/PRO/KOL-II/2001/1149-G dated 9-5-03. We have subsequently requested for amendment in the above permission on the ground that we are facing the problem to raise computerised invoice from unit –I for removal of goods from unit –II. However the matter appears confusing to you as we have enclosed the papers regarding removal of goods manufactured at unit III which will also be assembled & dispatched from unit – II. We would like to clarify that unit III is a new unit purchased by us which will also manufacture C.I. Castings & which will also send on job work to our unit II for painting, grinding, chipping, assembly etc. Hence we request you grant us permission to remove

goods manufactured at unit-III as well as unit I from the place of assemble of final product at unit- II in terms of Rule 4(6) of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2002. We hope the above will clarify your confusion in this regard. Thanking you, Yours faithfully, For Nandikeshwari Iron Foundry Pvt. Ltd. Authorised Signatory.
