Take Account before you Give Account Idea: We live in the Day of Judgment. Four times a year we take part in a service that illustrates the judgment-day life. The way we prepare for that service is the way we must prepare for Christ's coming. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. 1 Co 11:28-32 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. Ps 26:2 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2Co 13:5 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove <1381> what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Ro 12:2 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try <1381> every man’s work of what sort it is. 1Co 3:13 But let <1381> every man prove <1381> his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. Ga 6:4 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Lu 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. Our Burden – Gal 6:1-4 The Fast – Is 58:6-7 Mt 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Ro 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Ro 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

1Pe 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
