LED TECHNOLOGY
Advantages
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode which is essentially a semiconductor device that emits visible light when electrical current passes through it. Diodes only let electric current run in one direction but LED produces photons of light when this occurs. In this way, light is produced in a highly efficient manner since it does not depend on a filament or any other device to convert electricity into light.
Efficiency
• LED creates more light with 2 to 6 times less electricity than normal incandescent lamps. • LEDs are 10 to 50 times more energy-efficient, thus reducing the operating costs by up to 90%.
Lifetime

Safety
• Low voltage eliminates the risk of electrocution. • Low temperature eliminates the risk of fire and burns.
Versatility
• Better resistance to shocks, vibrations, frequent switching and temperature extremes that rapidly incapacitate fragile incandescent lamps. • The response times are 100 to 1,000 times faster than incandescent so there’s no flicker, just pure dramatic light.

Emit light of an intended color without the use of color filter that traditional lighting methods require. Light illumination with CRI 8- offers true daylight
Shock Resistance
LED being solid state components are difficult to damage with external shock, unlike incandescent bulbs which are fragile.

The solid package of LED is designed to focus its light. Incandescent source often require an external reflector to collect light and direct it in a usable manner.
