Homework 1st. grade

The nouns are: people: boy, baby, she, they, sister, etc... places: house, school, hospital, park, mall, etc... things:

chair, book, pencil, lamp, top, mop, etc...

Animals: lion, turtle, dog, cat, elephant, rhino, etc... An adjective is a word that describes the noun: physical adj. fat, tall, old, ugly, short, pretty, young, thin.

feelings adj. thirsty, hungry, happy, tired, sad, hot, cold.

A verb is any action we can do: draw, move, circle, write, color, read, clap, walk, run. sing, stand up, sit down, open, close.

Exercise: Underline the nouns with red, the verbs with blue and the adjectives with green, in these sentences.
