Slicing and Dicing Help Please join us on Friday, October 30 as our Troop is scheduled to help peel and cut vegetables at the Fellowship Hall of Shady Grove United Methodist Church at 6:00 p.m. This is a bi-annual fundraising event for the Troop where we earn money just for peeling vegetables for about one hour as the church’s Men’s Fellowship Group is preparing for their Brunswick Stew Sale. Scouts and their parents are encouraged to help out! The more scouts and parents that attend, the quicker we complete the task. You do not need to wear your uniforms. If you are planning to attend, you’re welcome to bring a peeler and cutting board if you can. I will bring several peelers, knives, cutting boards, and plenty of latex gloves. As an added incentive to the scouts to come: Any scout who helps out can bring their uniforms and sashes and badges, and we will sew on your badges while you’re peeling veggies (please bring only badges that can be machine sewn). A friend and I are bringing our sewing machines to sew on badges, but we need ANY moms who want to bring a sewing machine and help out!
