Your Child’s First Visit to

Kids Club Some children may immediately feel comfortable and adjust to their new surroundings in Kids Club. However, other children may need some time to adjust. We recommend that for the first few visits to plan to spend 10-15 minutes in Kids Club with your child and the staff before you attend other Armed Services YMCA programs. Please share special instructions or concerns regarding your child with staff and review the Kids Club procedures and policies. We work hard to ensure your child has a fun and positive experience here with us at Kids Club.

Adult Programs Kids Club Serves Frequent relocations require military families to leave extended family and friends behind. Our Social Networking programs provide the opportunity to meet new friends and create social bonds in your new hometown. Family Outreach Being a parent is a fulltime job that is not always easy, the Family Outreach Department is here to help.

Please let us know of any changes we should be aware of such as potty training, recent deployment, or if it has just been a rough day. Having a heads up helps staff better respond to your child’s needs and ensures an enjoyable day for all!

If you are having difficulties such as making it through the terrible twos, bringing a new baby home, separation/reunification after deployment or you just have questions, call a confidential social worker at 858-751-5755 or visit www.militaryymca.org and check out what the family outreach department can do for you.
