TOPIC: Electrolysis OBJECTIVE: To analyze the effect of electricity on water by better understanding the electrolysis at the same time as evidencing oxygen and hydrogen and observing a source of energy. 2.- MATERIALS: - Two test tubes - A plastic container - Sodium bicarbonate - Tachuelas - Glass - Copper wire - Battery - Stylus 3. DEVELOPMENT: A. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE TOPIC The baking soda will serve to separate hydrogen in the process of oxygen, thus showing the components of water and at the same time the effect of electricity on water. B. PROCEDURE 1. Two holes are made into the bowl with the tacks. 2. Attach the tacks with the coated copper wire to the battery. (Taking into account positive-negative) 3. The tacks are located in the holes made in the container. 4. Mix water with baking soda and stir until dissolved. 5. Add the water and bicarbonate mixture to the bowl. 6. The same mixture is placed in the test tubes. 7. Place the test tubes face down on the tacks. 8. The process is observed 9. The test tubes are lifted and placed close to a fiery match. C. IMAGES OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT THAT YOU COULD OBSERVE:

D. RESULTS: It observes current passage and the appearance of bubbles in the electrodes, more in which it is connected to the negative pole of the battery. One gaseous oxygen and one acid are formed in one electrode, the other produces gaseous hydrogen (of which there is twice the amount of oxygen) and a base. When the acid and base are in the container water is formed. At the same time, hydrogen and oxygen escape in the form of bubbles. 4.- CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS A. CONCLUSIONS Being a process in which the passage of the electric current through a solution or through a molten electrolyte, results in a non-spontaneous oxidation-reduction (redox) reaction. B. RECOMMENDATIONS: - Watch videos to find different ways. - Be careful when connecting the wire. 5. BIBLIOGRAPHY:
