Creativity & Innovation Tony Buzan on Speed Reading and Knowledge Management

Benefits to You The British and American Medical Association recently determined that 80% of all visits to doctors and hospitals were caused by stress. One of the main causes of stress? 'Information Overload' was consistently reported as the main reason. The 'Overload' will therefore increase unless the brain receiving that information is powerful enough and skilled enough to deal with it. In this ground-breaking course, Tony Buzan, the inventor of Mind Maps and originator of many new thinking tools, will introduce 21st century Speed Reading and Knowledge Management techniques that will guarantee an improvement of your ability in this area by a minimum of 100%. Mr Buzan is the founder of the World Speed Reading Championships, and the author of the BBC's international best-selling classic The Speed Reading Book.

That their reading speed has already minimally doubled, and that with continued practice and application of the course principles they will be able to double it once again. That anyone can improve reading speed. That if reading techniques are appropriate, comprehension rises with increasing speed - the opposite of the common misconception. That the common reading problems are not nearly as serious as commonly assumed. Each different problem can be easily addressed. That it is not the eye which reads, it is the Brain. That the eye is capable of taking in much more information, much more rapidly, than was ever thought in the 20th century. That guiding the eyes is a natural, necessary companion to masterful reading. That Mind Mapping is actually a speed reading enhancement tool. That information management is first a matter of managing the manager of information - the human brain. Cameo Description of Post-Speed Reading Course Behaviours An enthusiasm for reading An ability to apply speed reading skills to both text and screen An increased ability to extract the essence from any text A doubling of the amount of written material consumed in the same time, or halving of the time taken to read the same amount, with more 'free' time to devote to other activities An ability to manage 'information overload' with calmness and precision A far greater self-confidence combined with a significantly reduced level of stress An overall ability to 'eat books for breakfast !'
