To Whom It May Concern

To whom it may concern,

My son Joshua did not appear to his practice yesterday because he overslept this morning. My sister’s daughter went into labor earlier yesterday morning and being that my sister is in South Africa, my son and I drove her over to Brookdale medical center where she gave birth. We stayed with her until four when I called a cab for my son. When I arrived later on, I realized that he had overslept so I didn’t bother to wake him. This letter is just to inform as to why he did not arrive to practice. I did receive a voicemail by one of the coaches but I was only able to check it later on in during the day.
