To Postpone the Inevitable    Hey! You who hide in dark places Lurking in the shadows of the Sun and the Moon to catch me when I’m unawares When did you plan to take me to your stinking home where your bed rots and your corridor smells of decay? I know your hiding places that you use to lure and snatch From them i will stay away I will sing my song of life and love and ask the birds to sing with me while we listen to your dark song until my voice cannot sing anymore I will repel your deadly charms and feed you tasteless boredom So you will leave me alone until my plate is empty I will run from you: to the mountains, to the valleys, to the seas and to the skies until my legs can carry me no more Have it your way! Snatch those that are careless, annihilate those that suffer others, and end the reign of the corrupt But as for me, let me be! For I know I am useful To my own I care a lot and to them I am the lifeline. So let me be! Until my time is up.
