Failure is not when you fall, but when you fail to rise after you have fallen

hey say that success has many godfathers but failure is an orphan, well this couldn’t be truer, as in the case of The Northeast Today. Almost a year ago we were battling odds and there was a hint of pessimism in the air. Many well wishers suggested that we should not come up with a current affairs magazine, as the northeastern market was not ready for such a publication. But we believed in our readers and in ourselves and the result is right in front of all. Unlike other publication we will not claim unrealistic figures, because it is the spirit of TNT to present truth, facts and face the consequences, we have grown almost ten fold within a year and will continue to do so. I would like to thank the people who have helped us, some whom many call competitors, friends like Nibir and Tanushree from the Eclectic who gave me the insight in the world of magazine, Mr. Jhunjunwala from the Eastern Panorama who always had words of encouragement for us. For many, this admiration towards other publication may seem unwarranted but The Northeast Today has created a different niche for itself and there is enough space for all of us to flourish. Northeast India can only prosper with such well meaning individuals. A big hug to my editorial team who have worked unselfishly for the success of the magazine Rajoo, Madhu, Joydeep and Gail I am so very proud of you guys. Then there have been the silent soldiers such as Sanghamitra, John, Rajiv, Errol and Gareth, without whom this magazine would have never been where it is today… thank you. And finally to our sponsors Friends and family members (Mani, Agula, Frooti, Timmy, Karma, Chip, Ming, Puran, Nat’s) without whose support and wishes we would not have managed to sustain our splendid run. We hope that the TNT magazine continues to be a very important part of your lives; we certainly think that you make ours so. Hambai (Thank You) P. B. K. Manikya Editor in Chief
