The sighting of the tiger was nearly impossible, but as remembered that he would have to be very careful with the 100th tiger as said by the chief astrologer. 5. The maharaja became very gloomy, but then a strange fact came to his ears. Fact – the fact which came to maharaja’s ears was that the sheep were disappearing frequently from the hill side of his own state. 6. This fact helped the village as the maharaja ordered a 3 – year redemption from all sorts of the taxes from that village. The maharaja was so determined that he was not ready to leave the forest killing that beast, due his inability of finding the tiger the maharaja’s fury crossed the limits that many officers of his own state lost there jobs. 8.The impact was so large that he ordered the dewan to double the land tax for that village.

9.Due to the dissatisfaction of the people the kingdom could go in the hands of Indian national congress which could result in the resignation of the dewan sahib. 1.0. Hearing this dewan left the tiger which he had hid in his place brought by him from the people’s park in the madras. 1.1 On the following day the same tiger wandered in the forest. 1.2 The tiger went into the feet of the king and said him in very humble tone that he would do whatever he wanted. 1.3 The king fired a shot at the tiger in a very joyful mood he said that he had killed the 100th tiger and went to his embassy in his car, he told his man to bring the dead beast to his capital in a grand procession. 1.4 After the king had gone his men went near the tiger to have close look of the dead beast, but to there amazement the tiger was not dead he rolled his eyes in baffled way. 1.5 The man came to know that the tiger was not dead and the bullet had misses its mark. 1.6 They shot the tiger again and killed the tiger this time so that the king would not know that they had killed the tiger or else they would have lost there jobs.

1.7 As the tiger king had told them the dead tiger was taken in a procession through the town and was buried and a tomb was erected over it. 1.8 A few days later, it was maharaja’s son’s birthday was celebrated. 1.9 Until then the maharaja had given up his mind over to hunting tigers. 1.10 But the king had turned his attention towards the child. 1.11 He wished to give the child a very special gift, so he went on shopping. 1.12 He searched every shop but could not find anything suitable. Finally he was able to spot a wooden tiger and thought that it was the perfect gift. 1.13 The tiger cost only two annas and a quarter, but the shopkeeper knew if quoted such a low cost he would be punished under the rules of emergency. 1.14 So praising the sculpture he said that it is a very rare piece of craftsmanship and asked for 300 rupees. 1.15 King gave the money and bought the idol at there home 1.16 The father and the son played with the idol whole day. 1.17 But the tiger was a sculpture carved by an unskilled carpenter so it had tiny

slivers of wood coming up like quills all over it. 1.18 One of those silvers pierced maharaja’s right hand, maharaja removed the sliver with his left hand and continued to play with it. 1.19 The next day maharaja’s hand was flared with the infection and four days later it emerged into a suppurating sore which had spread all over his arm. 1.20 Three of the most famous surgeons were brought to the service from the madras. 1.21 After holding a consultation they decided to operate. 1.22 The operation took place, the operation was successful, but the maharaja was dead. th 1.23 In this way the 100 tiger took its revenge from the king.
