4/20/2009 Robert Quinn 18 Lakeview Drive South Haines City, Fla. 33844 Karen L. Thurman, Chairwoman Florida Democratic Party 214 South Bronough Street Tallahassee, Florida 32301 Dear Chairwoman Thurman; Subject – Freedom of Information Act Request. I have been assured by Secretary of State Kurt Browning’s office that only the political parties have the authority and responsibility to verify their presidential candidates constitutional eligibility and that his office has no authority to even raise the eligibility question. He doesn’t even have a copy of your rules and regulation in his entire office. He has further advised that I contact the Florida Democratic Party if I wish to obtain the party rules and regulations that mandate how your candidates eligibility for the 2008 presidential election were verified. The document you supplied to the secretary of state only states that your candidates were nominated and mentions nothing about being found eligible to hold the office. In this regard I request a copy of that part of your party’s rules and regulations that require the Florida Democratic Party presidential candidates to be eligible to hold the office of president according to the US Constitution and a copy of the verifying documents you used to make that verification for the 2008 presidential primary and general election. I am making this a Freedom of Information Act Request because it is the most critically important vetting responsibility in the entire country. For your information this request is being made of all 2008 presidential candidates. Sincerely
Robert Quinn
