There Are Some Methods Of Estimating The Reliability Test Which

There are some methods of estimating the reliability test which are given by the experts. The language testers use three strategies to estimate the reliability of most tests : the test-retest strategy, the equivalent strategy, and the internal-consistency strategy. Sudjana points out, “test-retest is the employing of an evaluation instrument to the same subject and then it is given twice in different occasion”1 Arikunto says, “Parallel test or equivalent test is two set of test which have equal aim, difficulty level and composition, but the item different”2 There are some ways to estimate this reliability method, but the easiest internalconsistency method to understand conceptually is called the split-half method. According to Harris, To estimate the reliability of this test consist in giving a single administration of one form. It usually by dividing the odd-numbered and the even-numbered items”.3 This supported by sudjana, The split-half method resembles with test-retest method, especially in administration. In this procedure, test is given to a group of subject in one time. The items are divided into two halves.
